Wow, long time no blog! I swear I didn't forget about the blog, there's just been a lot of stuff going on in the world of Marie. In all the holiday-ness, I haven't done much serious thinking about wedding stuff. I've been idly thinking about stuff like centerpieces, whether or not to have favors, placecards, etc.

I know I wrote about centerpieces before, but the whole floral centerpiece thing I'm just not sure I can budget for. There's gotta be a way to have something cute without having to spend a ton, right? I've found some cute ideas, like this:

source...I love Weddingbee!

It's super cute! I think my real problem is I don't have any sort of theme for my wedding. This blogger had all sorts of vintage stuff like old books, buttons, and luggage (used for her photos, it worked pretty well!). Unfortunately, I can't think of anything. (no Disney, tash.) I'll have to keep pondering it.

I've been thinking about place settings quite a bit too. I wanted something more fun than just plain old placecards. I'm not entirely sure how to go about it, but there's tons of ideas out there. Does anyone have any ideas? Anyone?

Penguin's holding placecards. : ) I don't think you need to have a theme. If you like a centerpiece just go for it! I like that one a lot. Are you working all next week? Do we get to hang out?

I can't remember, did you pick colors yet? I think something penguin-y would be great. You can always do something creative with fabric or stickers or stationery. Are you doing favors? You could also find a way to make the place card the favor...and take care of two things at once.

My (somewhat meager) crafting skills are at your disposal if I can help, just let me know!

What no disney? Come on. You can have like an Aristocats table. That can be your table. As for a theme. I don't think you need one. But, if your colors are purple and gold, you can do a rustic theme. Although I don't think you and Justin are "rustic." As for the placecards, you can always use a special cutter and cut a design on the edges so it looks different. Or forget the place cards. Just put everyone's name on a sheet in the center of the table and stand it up using one of those metal things. U know what I mean right? I have been thinking way too much about this. Scratch Scratch
